Author Topic: Blocklanders and their current/future careers  (Read 6830 times)

What kind of career paths have blocklanders taken? If you're too young, what do you expect to do in the future?

I especially want to hear from some of the more active scripters in this community (Greek2Me, Nexus, Pecon7, Port, Headcrab Zombie, Elm, Swollow, Jes00, the 'coding help' people, to name a few) if possible.

Not important beyond this point:
I'll begin. I'm studying mechanical engineering at college and after graduating, I plan to get some intense job experience at either a small company or lab. I'm also into programming and considering online business for passive income. Blockland got me programming in the first place. Thanks blockland!

Nice! My brother is also in computer science. It seems to be the gamer's go-to degree.

i work in IT consulting
i give you your jobs

Inbetween jobs right now but I've been working as a technical business brown townyst on projects in the finance sector. Starting a new contract next month with one of Australia's biggest banks which will be exciting. No degree, but I'm thinking of doing a comp science degree via correspondence starting next year (while I'm working).

Once I'm pretty settled with things, I just want to make crazy machines that you can ride and have fun with. I'm thinking things like electric longboards, alternatives to snowboards/skis, hoverboards (if physicists get their act together), and of course something that you can fly around with. It sounds crazy, but it motivates!

I'll join the work force and save up a lot of dosh, and then move out of country most likely to some euro-nation and go to college there. I want to major in something relating to physics or otherwise chemical engineering.

I want to get a high mark on my English, history, art, Technology and biology GCSE's if I can work hard enough to achieve it. I really want to learn interior design and Film studies (if Film is possible to learn somewhere in this country) I also want to learn animation since I am good with making stop motions. I really like to film and I am a, lets say, a beginner at art since people have told me I am really good at drawing and one of my friends who is an amazing artist helped me with that. I am young so I'm in that part where I need to decide what I want to achieve and I have ideas flying around in my head ever day

Electrician.

Have an interview for sanitation laborer thursday. Once my selective service goes through I'll apply for the post office.

I currently hang 54 inch vinyl wall covering(mostly in hotels). Not sure if I'll go to college.
TorqueScript is just a fun hobby for me.

I'm hoping to get a job in physics or engineering some day, but I'm currently unemployed.

I'll be an intern at a local college for doing some graphic design and taking pictures
