west germany starts heavily building up utilities (electricity, water) and transportation infrastructure, including the overhaul of ports to improve efficiency and the construction of new airports and naval bases. The West German government also starts pressuring heavy equipment makers and vehicle manufacturers to make their products more efficient to consume less fuel. pollution and environmental standards will also be established, this will be done by gathering the operators of manufacturing businesses to produce reasonable standards, if they are too lax, the west german government will intervene in the process.

discussions about renewable and nuclear generation as new sources of energy are also being held, due to promising developments from canada and the space programs. they are not interested in using nuclear technology for weaponry since it has lost its strategic value with the concept of mutually assured destruction and retaliation. Molten Salt Reactors are a promising concept that will be looked into later.

in northeastern china, the democrats' trail seems to have become near impossible to locate past deserts and through the mountains of xinjiang. it is speculated that they moved into the southern soviet union, in kyrgyzstan or kazakhstan.
probably unrelated, xinjiang demands independence, citing the unrightful capture of their land thousands of years ago by the han dynasty. it appears many of the supporters are of uyghur nationality while a few thousand chinese descendents firmly uphold democracy. how strange.

east germans demand that they are either unified with the west or made an independent nation, rather than just be an occupied territory of their former self.
wait they aren't already independent?
well that happens and we withdrew troops  but they're going to stay a satellite state

also we help China find the rebels

well that happens and we withdrew troops  but they're going to stay a satellite state

yeah i don't think that's what they meant by independence

yeah i don't think that's what they meant by independence
satellite states are still sovereign
and also not occupied

satellite states are still sovereign
and also not occupied
Oh, so that means that they can reunify with us without any interference?
as if that's going to happen

china thanks the soviets for the help. these damn fugitives need to be caught

regarding xianjing, mao offers to allow to admit them as an autonomous SSR under the administration of China (again i guess?????). They will be allowed to carry out trade and for the most part operate freely in the world stage, with some Chinese supervision.

they demand complete sovereignty
any administration by the government of china is unacceptable.

some tibetans also begin wishing for independence from the PRC, wanting to live in a nation of solely tibetans (this would include some small regions outside of tibet itself)

well thats stuffty

china says no

no, tibet. you can be mostly autonomous though

Oh, so that means that they can reunify with us without any interference?

no, it's still a satellite state
