Author Topic: Do you still own physical copies of games (for pc)?  (Read 2403 times)

nope, haven't bought a disc for a PC game in years, if ever

Now if we're talking about consoles, literally everything I have is physical, only digital things I have are eshop games for my 3DS and the preinstalled games that came in with my Wii U. Hell everything from my PS1, PS2, GameCube, Wii, DS, and 3DS games are still in their cases with their manuals intact.
For me:
PC=Digital
Consoles=Physical
Digital console games don't really have much benefit in my situation anyway other than saving like 5 seconds that it takes me to put a disc in.

Digital on console mostly just saves me a trip to the shops or waiting for a delivery, usually at an inflated price.

I think the last physical copy I got was Halo 1, I didn't have many to begin with because I didn't really "discover" PC gaming until I was a teenager

All I really had was Starcraft, The Sims 2, and a few others I can't remember

Last time I even saw a physical PC game section at a store it was filled with junk like Super Duper Solitaire anyway

I own physical box/case copies for the following games:

I...don't think some of those are PC games

Aside from Babyz (questionable, but there are actually game mechanics, failure states and a goal so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt) what else do you think doesn't classify as a game? I'm pretty sure everything there is a game, and all my other case/discs are movies and music.

my laptop doesn't even have a disc drive so that shows how much I care

No, he means he thinks some of those aren't games for the PC, but are console exclusives instead.
For example, Heavy Rain.

I said PC games

Games that are for PC

Ratchet and Clank definitely isn't on PC if the internet is to be believed

Oh, I didn't see the (for pc) bit. Either-way, still have a fair few of my PC discs and I'm still actively buying PC games at retail.

S'cool

What PC games do they even sell physical copies of anymore, anyway? I'm curious, I haven't checked that aisle of the store in ages

Last physical copy of a PC game I have is Simcity 2013 which I nabbed from Gamestop like an idiot, not realizing you had to download it anyways.

Last physical PC game I bought was probably an Assassin's Creed 1+2 bargain pack for 5 dollars at an electronics store. Best deal I ever got.

all 200 of my games are digital, PC and 3ds
