Author Topic: Apple unveils their Surface knockoff  (Read 1803 times)

It's not really a ripoff. It's just a larger than normal sized ipad that's too big to carry anywhere. Also they nearly doubled the price compared to a normal ipad so ya forget that.
that's stupid :/

can someone tell me what's actually a ripoff here
all I'm seeing is an iPad with a keyboard
what's new and different
"It's a tablet with a cover that has a keyboard attached to it, and also a pressure sensitive pen for fine artwork. It also has a kickstand on the back of it, so you can stand it up by itself. You can choose to either use it as a tablet, or like a laptop."
This statement applies to both the Surface and the new iPad.

the fact it runs a mobile os is a huge waste for a minimum of $800 spent

It's called powerful people with an unreasonable popularity get away with things they shouldn't.
Microsoft is like the grandpapie of the house. He's good with tools and makes reasonable stuff. Apple, aka, your uncle however, is the cool guy that secretly wants to butt forget you for what you're actually worth to him, but hey you get to keep an overly hyped thing afterwards.

looks like an iPad with a keyboard to me
I don't see how this is a ripoff :/
it's the fact that it's 800 loving dollars and isn't even running full mac osx

it's the fact that it's 800 loving dollars and isn't even running full mac osx
implying any apple operating system would justify 800 dollars

hasnt the ipad had bluetooth keyboards and stuff for years?

implying any apple operating system would justify 800 dollars
that just makes it even worse

I didn't think this was funny until I saw the copyright year.

What has changed to make it a knockoff?
The keyboard? Those have been around for a while already.

The entire concept was done 3 years ago by Microsoft, hence it's a knockoff.
There's nothing original about it.

where's that "I made this" comic where a second guy takes the first guys thing and then says "I made this"

I wouldn't call this a rip-off, this is Macintosh while the other is Windows. I don't see a problem with same products with different operating systems
