my school is so afraid of gangs that black people arnt even allowed in

not strict at all; I live in an old person neighborhood so there isn't much crime

pretty much the entire school is black. but you arent allowed to wear earbuds, hoods, hats, gloves, sunglasses, etc etc
i can understand earbuds, like so that people pay attention instead of listening to music, but i dont really see how sunglasses and gloves would be gang related in the first place.

My school bans hats and bandanas and they blame it on imaginary gangs.

our school doesn't really have an issue with anything of the sorts.

the only thing we have to do is go through a metal detector in the morning, and that's about it.

why would anybody wear hats, gloves, hoods, or sunglasses to class though

It's to verify that you're the cool kid in the class.

I'm 99% sure that's illegal, holy stuff.
lol it's totally legal. at the start of the year you have to sign papers out of the student handbook which is p much an agreement to the fact that you have 0 privacy and anything you own can be seized and searched at any time. if you sign it, it's legal.

No hats at all, not even beanies in winter when it was chilly.
last year (and the year before) all of the heaters were forgeted, so some classrooms were around 40* to 60* (i know the chemistry room hovered around mid 40s and the hallway to the gym stayed at 46*) and we still weren't allowed to wear hats or scarves or gloves.

There isn't even any real gang activity where I live, so no the school never really worries about that stuff.

Our school is pretty relaxed on rules in general. The only "dumb" rule that's enforced is no hats in a classroom (or food, but at least that prevents ants) and even then some teachers don't enforce it.

If anything we wear isn't a purple or white shirt and khakis or jeans, we have to take it off.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

pretty sure if they were enforcing loving communist law like his is they would care about you signing it

My school tries to be tech-savvy but the IT dept. is literally monkeys.
I know precisely how to get into a program that allows me to shut down ANY computer on the network, even the police ones that are there for investigations. Not that I would, obviously, I'd only do it to prank my classmates in computer classes (you can literally make it look like an error.) Just the ease of access I have to said program is.. incredibly dumb.

Not only that but they think they're so smart with their web filter that they blocked the loving new york times website for abortion. Every time you visit a website that triggers the filter, it says, "This request was logged," but it says that even if you're signed in to the network or using the public network where you don't sign in.
