For those of you who dont know, Star Trek V is one of the absolutely worst/stufftiest movies in all of scifi film history.
If you would like for me to justify that claim watch this to see why: https://youtu.be/LS1JwkyQ1zQ

/post crap about video sites or what happens on them that grinds your gears, etc.

I don't get what the problem is

Im not mad because I dont like the movie. Its legitimately a bad movie. This movie is genuinely stuffty from a writer's, special effects, and myriads of other professional viewpoints. Watch the video I linked in the OP to see why and maybe then you will understand why a 5 star rating on this is such a cringer.

as an avid star trek fan, what the forget

star trek V is legitimately a terrible movie

you either rate 5 stars or 1 star

there is no inbetween

lol, this is mostly true. However I have personally given 4 and 2 star ratings to some stuff I have seen on there.  Such as Disney's J2Atlantis or  National Treasure.

I've heard offhand that Netflix ratings aren't based on other people's ratings, rather the rating reflects what Netflix thinks you would rate it based off of your past ratings? I don't know for sure though.

That seems highly unlikely to me but I dont really know for sure either way. However for new Netflix users that would mean... what, for the ratings?

Yeah, it's how much they'd think you like it based off your previous movie/tv show choices, I get 2.8 stars on my end.

i love stAR trek and i am extremky happy that it is pretty much all on netfklic.
though even i can confirm that thisd is a terrible film

Yeah that's not a general netflix rating. If you watch and rate other star trek movies/shows highly, other star trek movies or stuff similar to star trek will have a higher rating. Inversely, if you rate them low other shows similar to that will have a low rating.

Such as Disney's J2Atlantis
Holy stuff. When was the last time I watched that movie? 2004?
