Naming things is pretty hard man, I mean look at the console yourself and think what would you call em'? Like I wonder how our world would be if the Gamecube was called the Dolphin, the Wii was called the Revolution, or the Wii U stuck with Project Cafe. I don't think I can go up to someone and say "Yo man you play some Legend of Zelda on the Revolution?" because man the Revolution is kinda pretentious sounding looking back, although saying "Yo man you play some Legend of Zelda on the Wii?" sounds like I'm asking someone if they played like Minish Cap while urinating.

I guess while we're on the subject what to you is a good console name? I know I refer to it jokingly many times but honestly I love the name Dreamcast for a console although Katana is just as cool.

Regardless I hope Tatsumi does Nintendo good, he's got the credentials that's for sure, he ran Nintendo of America for a bit before Reggie came right? But I hope along with his managerial skills from before that he carries the spirit that Nintendo has been rocking now.

Your right about Dolphin, but not Revolution, Revolution made sense.

It was literally a new way to play games, hence being a revolution, the Wii U could of been called something else like Revolution Ultra, Ultra being a nod to the Scrapped Ultra 64 before its specs where dropped and name being finalized to Nintendo 64.

New 3DS was just a terrible choice of name though, like I said Super 3DS or 3DS+ would of been way better names, since apparently New 3DS is confusing to people.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree for this particular naming convention, I understand why they wanted to call it Revolution, heck I think we were all around for Nintendo being criticized for changing it to Wii. I still think it just sounds a bit full of itself and I don't think I can be convinced otherwise. I think their naming choices are intended to appeal more to children while the Playstation and Xbox are more for older audiences and iunno when I think of Nintendo I think of that demographic. Maybe it's just me being stubborn since Wii has been in place for so long. On the other hand I definitely agree with your opinion on the 3DS! I guess they were trying to make it be like New Super Mario Brothers but it just doesn't work.
