Author Topic: Why is steam refund bs only 2 hours?  (Read 2220 times)

I played a game for 6 hours and still got it refunded. Mostly because 5 of those hours were just me idleing

If you played it for "quite a while" then why should you get your money back. People could just buy a game, play the story, then refund it, that's bs
that doesn't really apply to terraria

that doesn't really apply to terraria
The second part, sure
But the first part still applies

You can't rate a game with only 2 hours of playtime
If you can you're a horrible person.
Imo they should extend to 24 hours.
Um, how about no

I have around 130 mins in black ops 2 but there's nobody to play it so im going to try refund it

Edit: nvm got it from kinguin im sure so it wont work

It's funny how CS:GO only recently implemented a system to ensure you won't be able to see the real part of the game within two hours. Real smart thinkin, Valve.
I can't think of many games at all that you can really judge after only two hours, maybe some generic multiplayer only games?

2 hours in half life gameplay terms is
beginning of the game to ravenholm

to me those two hours felt like a forget ton of hours. somehow it's not though, so i think 2 hours is enough.

Im talking about games with allot of content

quite a while being about a day
if you're just hanging with friends, there's not much you can accomplish in that time
as far as i know
because i didn't play it very much. and i don't want to

Im talking about games with allot of content
why would you play a game you don't like for more than 2 hours solely because it has a lot of content

Any good game gives you a good taste within 10 minutes. That's one of the golden rules of game design. 2 hours is MORE than enough.

I have to agree. You might not see all content in 2 hours, but you should get enough of a feel to know if you're liking it or not.
I can't think of many games I've played where it took me 2+ hours to decide if I wanted to play it.

At most there should be a partial refund for a game played over 2 hours (to a limit), and that's still quite generous.

if you actually bothered to play a game for 24 hours i don't see why you'd deserve to get your money back
i mean if you actually bothered, you probably got your money's worth
unless you're some kind of forgetin masochist

Damn kids want everything for nothing.

2 hours is fine.
if you disliked the game, you wouldn't of either brought the game or played it for 2 hours

otherwise, espio being a cheap bastard after he blew his money on "beer" which was actually rancid rat piss
