Author Topic: What does the BLF think of MineCraft and it's community?  (Read 1995 times)

The game is fun for a whole 30 minutes, then you run out of stuff to do.

It's community can jump off a bridge.

Minecraft on the surface is generally an uninteresting game that gets boring really quick. The only reason you could get me to play vanilla is because of building considering how poor the survival machanics are. Thankfully there are a bunch of neat mods and modpacks that freshen the game up and makes it way more fun to play. Especially when you have friends around then it can be a blast. Hell I even had fun in a vanilla server because of how nice and friendly the server community was.

The community is mostly like every other game out there, it isn't great of course. The thing is that in Blockland you will randomly meet up with the community, in Minecraft you really won't since there isn't a central server list, you'll probably be playing with your friends most of the time. That said, I never had too much experience with the community itself. The forums are huge as hell, I never really utilizied them too much, but from my small experience people were pretty friendly.

"I'm sorry what are you askin-"
"DETOTATED wAAAAM"

the fact that some guy who has a strange voice and played a 25$ game for 4 years straight to earn 2 million in ad revenue blows my loving mind

Everyone who's complaining about the community hasn't been involved in it enough; either that or they enjoy people treating each other like starfishs like what you get with the blf.

I've been involved in the Minecraft Forum for several months now, maybe even a year and everyone is very polite there and there's not a grudgematch stufffest everywhere you go.

edit: Allow me to clarify I don't hate you all. I just hate how drama-centered this community is.
That's just how it is in large communities. You don't get personal feuds between people because nobody knows anybody. BLF is much smaller and more personal, so it's way easier to be mad at the person because you know them.

The community, especially the youtube channels are just, eugh.
The game itself is pretty neat though

Yeah that is why I removed my post. Completely forgot how huge that place is. I don't post in it that often.

I'm pretty sure it's also against the rules to be anything less than polite there

excellent game with tons of fun mods, very unique since it generates worlds But the community is terrible

Community is a cringe fest. Game is bland; would be dead without a modding community,

this

I have minecraft but haven't even played it online or made any effort to join the community. It's an alright game but gets kinda repetitive after a while.

you run out of stuff to do.
