pickpocketing is an absolute bitch to level up. practice on bandits I guess, so if you get caught you were gonna kill them anyway to whatever. i just level it to get that perk that massively increases your carry weight (100 i think?) but the huge amount of jewels and money you get out of it is well worth it

C'mon man Skyrim's sold over 30 million copies at this point, It's not hard to find somebody who likes it.
K, I was originally going to edit the OP for that, since it was stupid lol

Or be an absolute cheating richard, not like me at all, and simply save before you pickpocket and reload if you fail, and practice around a city stealing the gold and items from guards and citizens, and eventually their clothes and weapons.

Also, pay a skill tutor for another skill you want to train you, and pickpocket your money back each time, to earn bonus pickpocket XP and keep levelling up your skill.

they fixed the first thing, if you reload the save right before you pickpocketed the percentage of you succeeding decreases

and they also patched the thing so you cant steal your money back from the skill tutors

Well, looks like I'm that hypothetical guy who would do such a thing is crap at pickpocketing again.

Pickpocketing anything worth 100+ is an instant level for most of the skill tree iirc just stick to ganking their jewels (and whatever) and you can level pretty easy.

if you're playing skyrim without stealing anything and everything of value from everyone, you're playing skyrim wrong

I actually just leveled it up a few levels because of a really bizarre situation

A dragon started attacking the town I was in, but flew away when it got weak, so I chased after it and killed it

Three random guys ran up and stared in awe at the skeleton, and I stole half of their stuff while they were distracted, killing each one when they finally noticed me while the others completely ignored us

Turns out there was a contract on one of them that says they were hired by someone to get revenge for me stealing, but looking at a dead dragon was apparently more important

the only way I find the combat fun I'd if I go in fists only

a buddy of mine had 2K hours on Skyrim. Xbox + PC

too bad that's only even close to useful in oblivion

i've started a new playthrough, and by god, i'm going to live by this rule

i've already stolen everything of value from the Gray Manes and Jorrvaskr the moment i entered Whiterun. probably gonna try stealing what's good in the palace, and then immediately make my way to Riften and try to contact the thieves. gotta get that fence.

any tips for this style of playthrough?
