I don't know about you but my school doesn't have the damn Gestapo prowling the hallways, doesn't yell at us for having our hair a certain crazy color or length, how we dress (As long as it conforms to the dress code which is actually very reasonable), etc.

Dropping a lunchbox is against the rules

my school is really forgetin chill

I wear my headphones around the halls because we can listen to music in art class

we do have a uniform but its literally pants and shirt, not some fancy suit stuff

Depends on the teachers you have really at my school.

My schools dress code rule that the most people have trouble with was about the width of girl's shirts shoulder straps

Which I really don't get, shoulders aren't exactly top on my list of obscene body parts...

My schools were all fairly relaxed by UK standards.

All of them had school uniforms, which you were picked up on if you didn't have the correct clothes.
Dyed/streaked hair wasn't allowed, nor excessive makeup or piercings.
The biggest issue dress-code wide at both schools was the length of girls skirts, since a lot of girls really tried to push their luck and having it very short.

But there was nothing security-wise going on. No sniffer-dogs, no metal detectors, but no violent crime anyway. There was a very small group of people who smoked cannabis in a secluded part of the school, but that was about 5-10 people out of 1000-2000 students.

Edit: The only thing regarding halls being patrolled was in my last school, where one person would stand at the entrance into the building after break/lunch, and yell at people to take off their coats now that they were inside.
That was the most pathetic and useless things they ever really did.

Also these dress codes and stuff are done with the intention of "minimizing distractions" and stuff
But it's far more distracting when a teacher interrupts the entire class, tells the student their clothing isn't good, have the student argue back for a few minutes, etc, over something that I don't think anyone really cared about as far as being distracted by it

occasional drug dogs, no crazy stuff with your hair, no inappropriate words on shirts or you'll have to put tape over it or be sent home (one kid had to cover up the loving word fart), and i think this is gone now but cursing was a $250 fine

wallking wrong is against the rules.

my school was soooo forgetin cool

all my friends (and even family) say they hated high school there but i loved it. i feel like only a select few of places would allow me to arrest a student from class

You have to be patted down and searched at the entrance, no phones, no hoodies, no hats.

If youre caught speaking in the auditorium you are sent out the door.

Its a prison.

If youre caught out of dress code, youre sent home.

I have to go through this stuff, everyday.
