He is only in 10th grade. Police believe he was being used by adult dealers to transport the drugs.

Must've been a pretty big backpack

I got a 2 hour detention (long) for wearing sandals while some people get a 1 hour detention (short) for watching research.

Earbuds are not allowed and you cant listen to music with them but speakers are fine and everybody can hear you stuffty weeb music.

2 of the many stupid stuff there is at my prison school

it's so bad that the stuffcurity guards are called little Riddlers

like some news sites (new york times) are blocked for "abortion"
Gotta love when taxpayer funded institutions push their own views

Not very. They'll have an absolute nuclear meltdown for weed but never stuff like
Dropping a lunchbox

tbh I wish my school was more strict, though not a complete and utter totalitarian dictatorship

school uniforms are sort of needed here, and almost everyone from every class acts absolutely handicapped and a majority of people get away with things

The school was actually pretty strict once I got to it, but it was mainly just the principals, the teachers were fine.

I found out yesterday in one class that a senior I believe, said they changed the rules majorly for no reason.

Kind of related (but kind of not because it was a teacher at a private college doing it instead of the entire school) but I once took an online ethics class, and one unit we had this online forum thing we were supposed to discuss our opinion on an ethical issue, and I had the teacher delete my posts on one issue. He said I was being disrespectful, but that's BS  because I purposely avoiding stating anything subjective and only stated objective facts. I think he just disagreed with me and couldn't face the facts.

It's been 7 years since I was in high school. We had a couple of county officers keeping watch over the school entrance and the cafeteria during lunch. Things were pretty lax overall. I'm frightened by the descriptions some of you are providing of current schools.

What issues were being discussed and what was your stance?

There's only one cop that patrols the school, and he's mainly here just to keep people scared of doing stupid stuff, he's really a nice guy.

The issue it happened in was a student basically saying "if the US is a Christian nation, why can't schools display religious things""

A touchy subject for some, but when we're expected to participate for grade, there's not much else I can do, so I explained the issue as objectively as i could:

Explained what the establishment clause is

said something like "You probably wouldn't be happy if your tax money funded a big 'Allahu Akbar' poster, it's the same thing for other religions seeing Christianity displayed funded by their tax dollars, so the best option is to not display anything"

Listed a bunch of objective, historical facts like "the only mention of religion in the Constitution is to exclude it as a requirement of office" and "the treaty of Tripoli explicitly states the US is in no sense founded upon Christianity"

The next day the post is gone and I get an email from the teacher telling me to be respectful
