Author Topic: This is why I kept my views on feminism away from my family.  (Read 30156 times)

So, a few months ago, I was having a debate with a feminist on Instagram. However, I forgot about my mom's account. She saw one of my comments in her "following" feed and promptly asked me into her room to ask what it was. I just told her not to worry about it.

Well, last night, I was talking to her on the way home, when she brought it up again. Only this time, she asked me "if I hated women" and "if I was going to be a rapist". My own loving mother asked me if I was going to be a rapist. We now have a bit of conflict between us, and she keeps trying to ask me about my opinion but I keep refusing to tell her because I know it will only do more harm and nothing good will come of it. I thought creating a separate Instagram account for politics would guarantee me at least some sort of safety, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Thoughts?

She probably saw your search history and jumped to a conclusion.

Your mom is corrupt and must be detained

No, she's correct about my position. She saw me commenting on Instagram. She misunderstood the reasons though. When I tried to explain to her that feminism was more about power than any sort of rights, she replied with "well so is everything else". Basically, just give up because you can't change anything because everything is the same.

Contain it, Transfer it to an AI in a robot, Then breaks, Then gets transfered it a patato.

women deserve lower wages because their quality of work is worse

Don't argue with women, even your mom. They will not listen.

What exactly did you say in those instagram posts?

It wasn't even a post, only a simple comment, and a rather obvious one too. It was something like "further proof that feminism is not about equality".

Make sure you don't rape anyone.

The last thing you want is to give your mum the satisfaction of being right.

are you deranged
what i think hes trying to say is that lots of modern "feminists" (more well known obviously) are pretty much anti men so the stereotype now is that feminism is about women superiority.

let's just hope she doesn't find out you're tribal too

feminism is literally gender equality
