I was banned for Impersonating Kaji because he was a richard and Impersonated Sugar, I didn't do anything mean though, I automatically admitted it was mean and told sugar I would be nice to them for now on. C:

There seems to be a problem with people being able to survive being killed by creeper sometimes if they sit against a wall and don't move. This happened earlier today when no admins were online and only 1 guy was left alive. He got swarmed by creepers but remained absolutely still and wasn't harmed.

Also the rounds take forever when admins aren't online cause players just deliberately abstain from play and hide in the back of the maps for the entire round. Could we please have some sort of modification to the mod where the fewer survivors there are, the more frequently they have to kill creep or else they get forcekilled. This would ensure they don't waste everyone else's (who's dead) time by dragging on the round needlessly just because they want to win by sitting on their ass doing nothing for many minutes.

This is still a big problem. Just a reminder.

Another HUGE problem we are having is people abusing the bombs like crazy. On some maps the rounds literally end immediately as they start because people just throw bombs everywhere all at once. Something needs to be done to restrict bomb usage or balance it somehow.

Also, there's a problem on some maps where when the round starts, you'll spawn inside walls and props...



The rounds are also WAYYYYY too long. ~10 minutes is ridiculously long a time to wait, and usually one of two things happens for a round:
  • It ends instantly because everyone throws bombs everywhere at once as soon as the round starts
  • It drags out over the 10 minute span because some starfishs deliberately abstain from play and hide

I turn off bombs normally, I think Biller is turning it on once and a while however. I will work things out. In the meantime, it has been a week and I am considering hosting something different now.

First hurdle to deal with is the bombs. As I see it there are three decent solutions:
  • Make it so people have to buy bomb ammunition instead of having to just pay 750 credits for a lifetime supply of bombs. If people have to actually pay to replenish their bomb supply then they will have incentive to not just mindlessly spam them. Maybe 750 points can get you 5 bomb uses?
  • Make it so people can only use 2 or 3 bombs per map instead of 1 bomb per round. This way people will be inclined to save their bombs for emergencies rather than just spamming them.
  • Make it so that you can only use bombs after a certain amount of time after the round first starts. This will make it far less likely that users can quickly end the round by bombing the creeper spawns before they have a chance to grow.

Second hurdle I have noticed is that the difficulty level of the creeper is ridiculously high for the players to overcome it. There has been next to 0 legitimate human victories against creeper for the past few days, the only victories being gotten due to creep-bomb spam. Try lowering the creeper difficulty a bit so its easier to kill, because the humans get swamped every time by the creeper.
Specifically, humans can't really get close without getting dogmatically chased in a split-second by the creeper. It moves and grows more like a snake than like a blob. It was not quite like this on the old creeper gamemodes. Just saying.
Besides, if bombs are nerfed then nerfing creeper difficulty is pretty necessary, cause right now literally the only decent defense humans have against creeper is the bombs. It grows way too aggressively and fast and in too tight corners to be handled by creep spray.

Third hurdle is to fix the players spawning inside walls and props. Maybe just install some dedicated player spawn blocks, that ought to do the trick.

I like the bombs idea, however I normally can turn them off. The difficulty of the creeper depends on the amount of players, and can be toggled or messed with. In a recent update chrisbot made, the bombs were not given until 2 mins after the round started. I will work a bit before I host again.

We're working on building a map for my gamemode. If we finish tonight the server will be up for a good 4 days.


I'd love to see some treasure hunting servers be hosted. Those are always fun.
If you do host some though, make sure to use big builds with secrets.

Also, how are servers hosted? Is it a rotation type server where the game mode changes every few games? Are they separate servers that you host daily, or are they a collection of dedicateds you host all at once?

I normally switch once a week, and can end eairly depending on reception. Right now however, we are building a map for the AoS gamemode we are working on. I also host from my house as a secondary server, so people can have options. Treasure Hunt servers are pretty fun. Maybe I could try building one?

If you want to use Entropy Manor, I've hosted some treasure hunts on it with good results.
