It's Nuclear Throne's birthday! Woohoo!

This weekend's update finally added voices for Rogue and the rest of the characters, implemented a save system that should stop progress from being wiped every single update (and subsequently removed the "Unlock All" button), and a massive list of other little things.

There's already local co-op but Vlambeer's position on online multiplayer is as follows:

"We're not sure it's happening. Adding online multiplayer for a 2D twitch game is an extremely daunting technical challenge. We'll still check into it, but our official stance at this point is that it's not happening, unless we can find a really good way of making it so."

yung cuz is playable through some file digging/glitch stuff i think, but he has no abilities and gets no mutations

or maybe that changed in this update? who knows

EDIT: also, one weird thing i noticed is that chicken's B skin was implemented in this update, but i've seen its icon before on the daily leaderboards. what's up with that?

Back during the period where B-skins were "de-implemented", it was still possible to force the game to use them for any character by editing certain parts of the save file (it's an interesting format, you just have to find the right numbers)

I'm assuming those values are still there and the people on the scoreboard just did the same thing as before

i can safely confirm that getting rogue's b-skin is a significantly worse experience than getting melting's b-skin (because, you know, melting is actually good)

playing nuclear throne is like a lesson in futility so I've found

no it is not

the range isn't that big and the damage is so low that it almost feels like it was designed to be an accidental Self Delete weapon, because the only one who will take major damage from it is rogue herself

luckily i got that b-skin so i will never have to play as rogue again unless i go for 100% (aka never)

Has anyone caught a stream recently to see what's going on with development?

I know they said they were dealing with some difficult things in the game and that update 95 would be delayed, but it's been over 3 weeks now since 94

Not that I can't wait, I'm just curious and a little worried for them
