Author Topic: My computer is forgetED.  (Read 2666 times)

So, I'm playing on PC and power cuts out. When I regain power and reboot, I have a Windows 10 blue screen saying that there was a problem and needs to restart with the error NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM.
It reboots and does the same thing in an endless loop. I think I should just wait it out but the power cut out again and this time when I boot up my PC, my keyboard and mouse don't have power to them (no lights) and my monitor does not turn on. Nothing happens.
I think my computer is forgetED. Help, forums.

put 100 dollars in the disk drive and pray

I think it has something to do with Disc Corruption according to Microsoft

Anyone know how to fix?

if you have a w10 install disc or anything like that, see if chkdsk or any of its other reparation functions can do anything for you

if not, you're gonna have to format the disc and reinstall windows

If you can get your keyboard to power up, that is. Try using a PS/2 keyboard if you have one.

I don't think power is going anywhere since none of the lights on my mouse or keyboard light up when I turn my PC on.

When you mean it shut off in OP, was it because of a power surge?  Like, a lightning strike or something like that?

test to see if it's just the surge protector/outlet that got fried

This happened to my sister a while back, she lost everything.

I only hope for the best for you, Sheep.

Tested, it's not the outlet's issue.

Hey! Are you running a ssd?

Are you sure that the energy is 100% restored?

Plug the computer out of the wall, hold down your power button for a bit, plug it back in, and see if it turns on

as for the file system error:

yes. Phone charges fine.
Plug the computer out of the wall, hold down your power button for a bit, plug it back in, and see if it turns on

as for the file system error:
no luck. Also no disc.
