Author Topic: Did the Forums helped you become a better person?  (Read 6095 times)

It didn't really change me at all in the outside world as far as I know. I do know that without the forums, I never would've returned to the FIRST robotics organization for two years because Georges and BluetoothBoy invited me to return. I also never would've met them.

Actually I think getting into a lot of the hot topics of 2014 relating to controversial subjects may have helped me gain an interest in researching things. It would be underestimating to say that I've gotten a lot less ignorant than I was a few years ago about the other sides of an argument. I've spent hours on end looking up viewpoints on religion, traffic laws, politics, education, abortion, right to work, welfare, assisted Self Delete, drugs, among many other things since joining the forums.

no it made me become a loser KEK

BLF has never made me a better person. Ive only become what I suppose you could consider to be a better person due to IRL stuff, mosttly just from back when I used to call myself a Christian.

i was some starfish who thought everyone knew what he was talking about

Yes and I did not realize I was a condescending person prior to joining the forums nor did I actually know condescending was a thing at the time.

I don't think it's made me a better person.
I do believe I am a better person than I was before but I fail to see any connection to the forum in that.
Though I am sure my time on here (and general interwebs) has made me more cynical.

It definitely made me more shallow lmao which helped me get friends and stop being a loser. Also it really boosted my self esteem, the stuff you hear about on the internet is great for helping you feel normal

well if you look at some of my first posts, and some of my more recent, I'd say i've improved. And i suppose i should give some credit to this site.

I learned that in the end, there was no change....
