You can't put a tinfoil hat on your computer's data

You can't put a tinfoil hat on your computer's data

that's called disconnecting the internet lol

extensions in edge and I'm sold

You haven't heard?

You know what? forget it, lets go over this stuff.

1. P2P can easily be turned off. Do it, you loving fool.

2 and 3. Both are actual concerns, but all recent OS's have been doing some of this for years. If you're really not ok with it, then don't use Windows 10, OS X, ChromeOS, Android, or iOS.

4. Cortana's entire purpose is to be web-based, I have no idea what you think it could do without internet connection.

5. Turn it off, you insufferable moron.

6. WiFi Sense is... you guessed it... incredibly easy to turn off.

Wow look at that, 3 out of 6 features are able to be completely turned off. The Cortana issue is a non-issue and the other two have differing levels of ability to be switched off, and regardless, both are becoming more common in modern OS's. Not saying its a good thing, but its there.

If you're that concerned about your privacy, maybe you should completely go off the grid and live in the foothills of Appalachia or some stuff, at least then you'll stop bothering everyone else with your intense anti-circlejerk.

If you don't want to leak unspecified information to microsoft, clear your identity and live in the foothils of Appalachia.

I don't follow.

2 and 3 are the huge part of the problem here. I can't find the post right now but someone brought up a good point in another thread that because of this backdoor spying in the OS, people can't use windows 10 for a ton of different jobs and fields where privacy of information and NDAs (such as working in the game/film development industry, or working on contract for the DOD) are important. Do you like Microsoft being able to spy on, view and access any and all of the files on your computer?

right, so if we want to solve this problem we should automatically go to the other extreme.

at least then you'll stop bothering me with your intense anti-circlejerk.

I don't really believe anything planr says after he randomly accused me of being a Self Delete spammer. All this paranoia surrounding Windows 10 is kinda stupid

strawman. i never did that. i merely said i suspected you. i also stated multiple times that i could be wrong about that.

strawman.

The forget are you talking about? There was literally no reason to suspect I was involved unless you were just trying to start stuff

With regards to MSFT...

My richard is P2P and can't be exploited without my expressed written consent.
