Phone face-down onto cobblestone

So I managed to sneeze and let go of my phone. It hit pretty hard, screen-down on a cobblestone road. Are the shattered glass going to come off and eventually cut me or is it ok if I continue using it without a film? I'm pretty sure some of you have experience with shattered screens.

Of course it does. I'm still outside. A few pieces of the glass came off right before the screen itself begins. I can see the backlight, lol.

I've seen iPhones survive some crazy stuff.
Is the entire screen about to come off in shards?

Only the top portion. From half of the screen itself to the bottom is cracked but seems to stay in place.

Although this may sound silly on paper, I'd say slap a screen protector on your screen, and wrap your entire phone with scotch tape. It worked pretty well for my friend.

iphones have a real stuffty problem with constantly breaking their screens. my sisters cracked her phone screens up countless times while i've dropped my samsung tablet and phone on hard surfaces hundreds of times throughout their year-long lifespans and not even once have i ever cracked them.

The 7 years I've been using an iPhone 1G, I dropped it on millions of things, case-less, and nothing happened to it. Frist drop with a 4S and boom. Shattered screen. I've only had it about 8 months. :C
