good dystopian/apocalyptic story driven games?

Preferably no zombies or Fallout.  I've played the hell out of Fallout and DayZ.  Also please recommend ones with a good single player story mode.  I like open world games but what I'm really craving is a good non fantasy story.

I think the OP is looking for games more like STALKER and Fallout, with a heavy singleplayer narrative. RUST is quite the opposite.

I think RAGE falls under something you'd like, though I never was too much of a fan of the game, and I'm not entirely sure whether it's open world or not.
