The United States Congress passes legislation that limits campaign contributions from individuals and corporations, and the protections afforded to corporations are limited since they are indeed not people. The definition of corruption is also expanded to include the 'revolving door' strategy used by defense contractors and a myriad of corporate entities. This will hopefully increase the integrity of the United States government.

A new program to reduce dependence on foreign countries for energy is also started, it involves the aggressive expansion of renewable energies and the development of advanced nuclear reactors that don't use uranium as a primary fuel source.
