I'm still hopeful that Badspot will eventually add Steam Workshop integration. That'd blow both of these out of the water.

Very nice! Thank you Progs.

Isn't this spam? I swear Tenshi posted so many topics about this.

If you have multiple friend requests and you try to accept them all they stay there, when you try to accept them again it sends them a request.

RIP Blockland Glass
Definitely not.

The main reason why I like Blockland Glass better is because it was mainly from scratch rather than continued from another thing. Although this is nice that you guys are working on this, but it seems we all the sudden have a lot of these kind of mods now.

Noted, it will be looked into.

DAProgs codes as a profession and has been doing so for years. So there is no doubt in my mind that oRBs will be refined till it's polish is blinding. A 'from scratch' client was decided against because of the desire for a friendly and familiar user interface. What better interface to use than one that became the lifeblood for Blockland.

So it seems, though none will have a footprint as large as oRBs. With an entire and exact copy of RTB's site (along with add-ons) as well as a (working mod manager, server integration, and chat client) all-in-one, we're already a step of the curb. We still need to outline processes for handling submissions but that is not difficult.

Tearing an already small community is pretty counterintuitive to trying to help it and grow it. Personally, I intend to continue to develop Glass. You've done a nice revival here, it looks pretty clean. I'll do what I can to avoid conflict, allowing the services to work side-by-side, and I hope you'll do the same.

The reason I decided to take a from-scratch approach is to rebuild the system from the ground up. I too have been coding as a profession. While RTB was great, it did have some flaws and features that just couldn't be addressed because of the way it was structured from the ground up. On top of that, Glass is intended to be headless so that it can continue if I suddenly want to leave it behind. It's developed with some newer standards put in place by the likes of Greek2Me, with Support_Updater integration and preload.cs.

I'll be placing more emphasis on developing features oRBs doesn't have so that we can do better for the community as a whole instead of being direct competition.

uhhh how do you open the gui?

edit: the steam community notification you get when you open the game blocks off the notification, so for anyone else the button is ctrl tab

I don't know when you started blockland glass, or when will it be ready, but we have an RTB revision now, and it obviously offers more than any other similar add-on.
Ephialtes' RTB has not been left to waste while we twiddle our thumbs a few more years, waiting for someone to reinvent the wheel.  Anything else is a side project that detracts from the former RTB, now revised into oRBs.

That's completely backwards.  oRBs has a foundation in RTB crafted from years of work by Ephialtes, and is already leaps and bounds ahead of any mod being made from scratch.
It's difficult to imagine, that in the foreseeable future as of now something will compare to the finely polished state of RTB.

Looks very nice. I'll certainly be using this.

I started in June and the fully functioning product has been live since August. So, yeah, a new mod manager was ready then. Glass also offers more features than the RTB mod manager, inherently meaning the oRBs mod manager too. It may not have to polish of Ephialtes' GUI design, but the functionality certainly surpasses it in all but a few ways. I realize you have a larger suite of features to offer as 90% of the work was already done for you, but I'll happily make comparisons on the features we do share since you've seemingly taken a hostile approach to my offer to cooperate.
