Author Topic: got in trouble for BS reason  (Read 3417 times)

Im mexican, and that wasnt offensive at all, maybe she wasnt from Mexico, people from South America and Spain really hate when someone says that he/she is mexican.

That was totally offensive.

She is probably one of those people who pretend to get offended so they can receive more attention or advantage.

Sounds about right.

There are alot of people like that in my high school

You don't even know that she is Mexican though.
You started off by describing her as spanish/mexican/guatemalan.

And then you told her she was Mexican. So you judged her nationality based on the colour of her skin.

That was totally offensive.
my neighbors called my family mexican a while back cause niff flipped them off for being jackasses a while ago and i got mad but didn't say anything

That may be, but she could have just simply corrected him on that and it would've ended right there; instead she decided to get others involved and claimed it to be "discrimination".

Anita would be proud of that girl

yeah i feel like

this isn't a BS reason to get in trouble, you just made a silly mistake. if i was in this situation i would've put the blame on myself for making assumptions rather than saying it's all her fault for being over-sensitive.

yes that was offensive. you called her "mexican"
also I think I'm missing the part where you got in trouble
What kind of totalitarian society do you live in where people MUST contribute even when they aren't confident in the skills and might not be having the best time learning?
pretty much every conservative person in the united states thinks people should starve if they cant "contribute to society" so

If you said "Don't you speak spanish?" would've been alot nicer of a thing to say.

Even if you did call her mexican, she's getting all riled up about nothing, it's BS of her

Rip conservatives if conservatives gain power

Or he could've not said what he said at all and there wouldn't be an issue.
He's the one who had to bring race up.

He could've said "but you speak spanish don't you?", but instead he said "but you're mexican".
So first he assumed she was mexican based off her skin, and then assumed that she would be fluent in Spanish just because of her nationality.

It's not a horrible crime he commited. It was just a mistake.
But it's not the girls fault it happened.
