Downwell - Get high on gems and shoot frogs with your shoes

Downwell is a game where you, uh...go down a well. But the well is full of monsters! Your only weapon is the unconventional but effective Gunboots, which can shoot downwards to slow your descent and kill enemies. The batteries can only power so many shots before they need to recharge, requiring you to briefly land (on either a platform or an enemy's head) before being able to shoot again. Pick up weapon modifiers to change your Gunboots' bullet type, each one taking a different amount of charge per shot. Collect gems to buy things from the occasional store, and accumulate them across all runs to unlock new color palettes and character styles.

Think of it like a hybrid of Super House of Dead Ninjas and Spelunky. Better yet, it's only 3 bucks!

So far the farthest I've gone down is 3-1, and I haven't gone farther because those enemies that I can't land on (snails, eyes, spiny things, etc.) keep throwing me off.

This game is fantastic though, and I really like how you can change the palette to suit your tastes (my favorite's Nuclear)
