Conquer the world as the Mayans!

Europa Universalis IV is a grand strategy video game in the Europa Universalis series, developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. The player controls a country during the Late Middle Ages to the Early Modern Period (specifically, 1444 to 1821), conducting trade, diplomacy, colonization, and warfare.

Basically this thread is for people who play EU4 (and by extension, any other paradox interactive grand strategy video game) to find others to play with.

I started a muscovy into russia game yesterday

going well so far, although sweden and kazan hate my guts so I have to divide my troops on two fronts

I want to do what my friend managed to do and start as The Knights and conquer the entire loving world

I still don't know how he did it

Anyone want to get a game going in a bit? add/message me on steam if you want to participate.

Surprised Sp00n hasn't invaded this thread yet.

It's a bit confusing at the start, but very fun and rewarding in the end.

when the forget is the cossacks coming out

I need that stuff right now

Ah, the days of suffering under Polish oppression; the days of the Teutonic Order.

I can hardly remember them

is mount and blade accounted as a paradox interactive strategy game?

I've always wanted to get into this game, and I understand literally everything except for combat. Even if I have a numerically superior force, rngsus still makes me lose :(

for some reason I can't run the game due to the graphics anymore.
vicky 2 is better anyways

a lot of it depends on modifers from terrain (never attack into mountains.. wait for them to come to you and THEY get the negative modifer.

also army composition. a lot of it is guess work but i think general consensus is you should have your army width in infantry (plus 2-3 more for reinforcing the front line), 3-4 cavalry, and your army width in cannons. of course you don't have to go with cannons in your main army and just keep stacks of 8 infantry/4 cannons for sieging forts.
