RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAA

It's just 80s pop slowed, cut, and rearranged.
Even so, it's almost mystifying.
A lot of newer vaporwave is mostly original.

Although I personally prefer Future Funk because it's the same thing except I can dance to it.

vaporwave has a visual art style associated with it. this style is apparently: arizona green tea, the ocean, classic sculptures, 3d renders from the 90s, and windows XP. this is called "aesthetic" for some reason.

vaporwave has a very distinct, detached sort of art style that grounds itself on consumerism, roman busts, and miami vice-tier gradients

it's pretty fascinating

The things he does are mostly parodies of niche music genres.

to me, almost all vaporwave i have heard is really repetitive and boring so it makes me bored and want to listen to something else
