Author Topic: Must have mods for build servers  (Read 2172 times)

So, the topic title really is all I want to know. What does the general Blockland community think are some great/ outstanding mods for building? Mostly looking for block packs, nifty event stuff, admin tools, etc.

Personally its been a while for me too, so if someone could tell me if elevators was ever a thing. I heard ephi decided to leave and something along the same lines with Trader, but a quick search shows nothing within this decade for relevant information.

Lots of bricks. Lots of them.

Too many bricks can be overwhelming for a build server.

True, but you'll need lots of bricks for details. If you think you got too many, disable them.

You can never have enough bricks. You should probably get this: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=254229.0 (client sided)

If you want to use prints, maybe get this too: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=254061.0 (client and server sided)

I usually use these brick packs since they all have neat-looking icons (these are direct download links not forum post links):
Brick_BlackDragonIV
Brick_BlackDragonIV_Filler
Brick_DemiansBB
Brick_DemiansBB2
Brick_DemiansBB3
Brick_Jirue

Holy stuff, is OP the general omega from like 7 or something years ago? That's a blast from the past right there.

Anyway, JVS Elevators were a thing for a while but they were sorta forgotten because they were stuff. You can easily simulate elevators with setPlayerTransform and doPlayerTeleport now. I wonder if elevators still exist tho. Doors are a default thing now. I haven't seen Trader, pretty sure he's gone. We don't have many decent coders left in the community, they've been replaced by a number of unpleasant arrogant furries so that's fun. Ephi left after he had a temper tantrum to do with Badspot not updating the game fast enough.

Brick_1RandomPack is a must-have. Full of cool, useful stuff.
Brick_VerticalPlatePack are very small print bricks. Incredibly useful for small details like bedposts and chairs.

I find having one of the floating brick mods with the delete launcher a useful combo. Let's you build without the "floating" error and the delete launcher deletes bricks without destroying its supported bricks. Very useful if your building terrain with modTer.
provide links right now though.

Can't provide links for you right now.

The ones in bold generally aren't needed because BlackDragonIV's brickpacks already contain most of them, and in fact you are going to have brickpack conflictions if you use both Demian's and Blackdragon's. I used to use Demian's a long time ago but now I just use BlackDragon's because it's more organized, has more bricks, and is generally a much nicer two packs.

There was a YouTube video that showcased them for like a couple seconds some years ago, it seemed well done and was smooth.

oh okay, thanks for letting me know that
I noticed the conflicts before but I didn't know exactly which packs would be better to use alone

There isn't enough love in here for Emil's bricks and One Random Brick Pack.
