Has your dog had a history with running away or getting lost? When I still had my dog, she'd take off the minute she was off the leash. I understand how horrible it is to have your dog disappear because mine would run away and not show up for days, or even a couple weeks.

In the past when my dog(s) had run away, we would find them at a place with other dogs.

Put up fliers at places where he is likely to be going to find food.

but more in a serious sense, ask the police if they can bring over the k9 units

they could smell your dog's scent and possibly track her down

but the thing is i'm pretty sure the police won't come over all the way just to track your dog down though.

She's not hiding in my house. If she was, we'd have found her within the 2 days she's been missing now.

I was upstairs playing a game with my friend and my brother when my mom told me she ran away. They didn't notice for like an hour.
