When I empty the dishwasher and drop a knife but me being a ninja moves my feet out of the way just in time

My mom once was cutting food and dropped a knife on the ground. A big kitchen knife. I moved my foot a few seconds before too, and fortunately too because that was basically the same spot where the knife landed. I almost diedkind of

the best thing to do when you drop a knife is to get the forget away from it and when you go to pick it up make sure you do so in a slow manner

one time I dropped a knife on a nuclear payload arming device and blew up a small town in taiwan

All the time

serious story though

My dad kinda assumed the median for a big road was closer than it was, actually had to yell to get his attention to avoid crashing my car into the median. He's a good driver most of the time, but he got too comfortable

I don't know if this would've turned out bad or not but a few years ago, the pit bull from across the street managed to get inside the fence to our chicken coop and it killed our very last chicken that I'd been taking care of up to that point. Pissed off, I went inside my room, pulled open the bottom drawer of my dresser, and pulled out my airsoft shotgun. I pulled out the clip, loaded it, clapped it on, and roostered it. I threw on my boots and went out the back door and pushed open the gate on our fence with my boot. I steadied the gun to my shoulder and took aim at the dog that was feasting on the carcass and fired a shot. I saw a ripple pass over the dog's skin as the pellet bounced off of it. It looked up at me somewhat alarmed. I roostered again and fired another shot in quick succession and the dog stepped backwards from the dead bird. But I was still mad, so I fired again. And again. And again. Eventually the dog started screeching and yelping but it couldn't escape the fence due to it being completely enclosed (it got in by jumping off the driveway which is a five foot wall). It even started trying to climb the fence using its paws and kept falling off. I just kept shooting though until I noticed the neighbor coming down our driveway who hadn't seen me yet. I lowered the gun and ran while crouching to avoid being seen to the back door and went into the house. I then peered through the blinds out the laundry room window while the dog was going completely hysterical and the owner discovered her frantic dog in a mess of blood and feathers from the bird. She let it out of the fence, looked at the mess, and then came to the front door. She was just like, "My dog killed your chicken. Bye." She then walked away.

My dad came home from work early to yell at them and threatened to call animal control and/or the police, because we have suffered thousands of dollars in vet bills, tens of dollars in damages, and many hours of grief just from the neighbor dogs. We don't talk to any of the neighbors at any of the houses surrounding us now.

Just drive off of the road

Jesus, man. How do your neighbor's dogs keep getting at your coop? How hard is it to keep dogs on a goddamn leash or inside the house/yard?? I personally think it was a bit forgeted to shoot the dog that much, but it probably won't forget with your yard again after that.

We've told the neighbors that if their dogs so much as cross our property line by more than three feet, we will shoot them. And if it does happen, it will not be with an airsoft gun.

Where I live, we can pull the castle doctrine easily, especially since both neighbors living around us have proven repeatedly that their dogs are indeed dangerous.
