how much do you associate user's avatars with the users themselves?

i heavily judge people by their avatars. if its something really stupid, i think that user is more stupid, and if its something real cool, i usually think that person is cool even if they're not

I stick to my luigi hat, sometimes with slight variations or putting the hat on something

On rare occasion I temporarily switch to a cat looking at its reflection in a pond

It really bothers me when people can't keep an avatar for more than a week. I can barely keep track of who most of you people are, and if you take away what is basically your face I'm never gonna figure out who you are.

I generally change my avatar every time there's a prequel update (which is not very common cough cough.............. kazerad..)
or for holidays

as for this particular avatar I've had it sitting in my avatar folder for a while and I wanted 2 use it and there hasn't been a REAL prequel update in months so

the avatar is basically the main way of figuring it out for me. it throws me off super hard when someone changes their avatar, and it's even worse if they're using an alt.
