Author Topic: how much do you associate user's avatars with the users themselves?  (Read 2892 times)

Yes
Hey, look at his avatar
It looks crazy
Therefore I think he's crazy

A lot - to the point where seeing people with new avatars forgets me up for a split second.

Also, out of curiosity - what does my avatar say about me?

Some, but not to such a degree that it bothers me when someone changes avatars.

i heavily judge people by their avatars. if its something really stupid, i think that user is more stupid, and if its something real cool, i usually think that person is cool even if they're not
this, you can tell a lot about someone by what they decide to make their avatar

Idk what the hell that is,
IMO it says to me that your a cool guy but not to much above average.

It depends how long they keep it. That's why I haven't changed mine in a few years

i don't
more of a name person

I rarely look at names unless they have a new avatar.

But I'm curious to hear what my avatar says about my posts and personality to other people.

my little brother changed his avatar recently and i didn't even realize he changed it, i just assumed he was an entirely new person

pretty sure everyone associates my avatar with me

but if i see an avatar i know who they are more than by their name

I pretty always tell a person by the avatar. Not necessarily judge the or assume how they act, just to tell who they are at a glance. Because of this, i don't like it when people don't have avatars or when people constantly change their avatars.
