That being true and all, if a morning-after pill as well as all other preventative measures did not work, I'm assuming that the woman would know pretty quickly if it failed. At that point, she should go to a doctor while it's still just a cluster of cells and not wait for weeks/months for it to develop.
You have no indication that it failed at that exact moment.
Depending on the time in your cycle at which you fall pregnant, you could be waiting about 4 weeks until your first period.

You may not even miss that period, which is a normal sign of pregnancy.
Or, even if you do miss your period, you might not be shocked, because the side effect of several chemical contraceptives is a loss of period.

Furthermore, not all women get morning sickness either. 20% of women do not experience morning sickness.
It's not entirely uncommon for women to not realise they are pregnant until they start to physically show, which can be around 16 weeks. At this point the baby now has a face and a human-looking body.

And then finally, it's a very tough decision to make.
A morning-after pill may be more easy to take without too much thought, but finding out you actually are pregnant and then aborting it, is a much bigger and harder thing for a woman to do.
And decisions like that can take time.

anyone who thinks that g(enetically)m(odified)o(rganism)s are bad really needs to do some research

not trying to start any arguments, but here's the problem mostly with gmo plants:

-lack in genetic diversity, therefore a whole yield can die out from a vulnerability.

-possibility of super weeds

-the fact that we don't know of any side effects yet because the process is still pretty new (over 88% of corn and 93% of soybeans are genetically modified in the US, 80% of the food in supermarkets have them), we could find out any time that they're completely harmless or dangerous.

doesn't the jump to genetically modified food seem too fast?

This already happens on a massive scale in regular non-GMO farming.
The banana industry has already had blights in the last few decades, because they almost entirely use a single type of banana.

Here's an article (thanks to Headcrab Zombie for posting it before), regarding GMO's and the 2000+ studies on them, affirming their safety.

There's no better time to start eating them than now.

how could there be a lack in genetic diversity if most plants reproduce loveually? banana plants reproduce loveually as well.

i value life at all stages

pro-choice, in all cases.
anti-death penalty. the government shouldn't have the right to take away the lives of citizens if they've already been safely detained
euthanasia/assisted Self Delete should be legal. if someone wants to die, let them.

i value life at all stages
before the age of 2 humans are pretty much useless
literally, useless
we cant do anything for the first few months besides suck on a tit and stuff our pants

in the womb after conception, its just a big ass ball of cells until it actually comes out and starts crying

you dont even have conscious thought until you're around 3 - 4

Because in farming you use cloned plants (not cloned in the sense of dolly the sheep, simply grown from cuttings). This is to ensure you're cultivating the best plants.
Any cross-pollination of those plants in your field are going to be nigh identical since they're all related, so diversity isn't great.

If there was a larger variety of banana breeds in banana farms for example, then they would all cross breed, and diversity would be increased, and their chances of being resistant to disease would be higher.

Are you suggesting it's acceptable to kill babies under the age of 3?
I don't really get the point of what you're saying.

A baby not being self-reliant or intelligent doesn't mean it's not of value.

Where do you stand on gun control?
i entirely support the right to bear arms, however i do endorse background checks and gun safety classes
Do you support increased gun ownership restrictions, or less?
i am neither for nor against changing restrictions, aside from how to obtain firearms.
Do you support the civilian ownership of fully automatic weapons?
absolutely loving not
Where do you stand on drug policy?
drugz r bad mkay
Do you support the decriminalization of drugs, or the continued prohibition on them?
depends on the drug in general. marijuana for example, i support full recreational legalization. other harder drugs, however, i am not sure how i feel.
Do you support the illegal status of marijuana?
nope.avi
Where do you stand on affirmative action programs?
i believe they have good intention but are executed poorly
Do you support the use of affirmative action programs, or are you against the use of them?
i am against them, however i am absolutely not against the concept behind them. i just think the legislature itself is poor.
Do you support the concept of equal opportunity measures like them?
absolutely

i could see abortion being a viable option until maybe an hour after childbirth.

at that point there's really no reason to not go for an adoption program

Thank you for refuting your own argument

banana plants reproduce loveually as well.
No they don't
The bananas you buy in stores are seedless, they're "reproduced" by grafting cuttings of an existing plant into new soil
Which means that they're not only the same "type", but the same genetically identical plant, giving them no genetic diversity at all.
The current commercially eaten crop is the Cavendish, before that was the Gros Michel, which was basically wiped out by a disease that destroyed it with no problem, because it had the same problem which gave it zero genetic diversity. And it's likely only a matter of time until the same thing happens to the cavendish

And the best hope for this issue? genetic modification

there are enough chinese children that need a family, they'd be put to better use for stem cells

they'd be put to better use for stem cells
so like
from out of the womb crying and wiggling around to unrecognizable meat chunks/preserved corpse/whatever real quick

tbh threw up a little in my mouth lol

Since it is bound to come up people are going to bring "there are to many people in the world", problems in the united states=/=problems in other parts of the world. Those that live age, and when you age your body wears down. If we just stopped having kids we'd run out of workers. Also theoretically you can maintain zero population growth by only having two kids.

As long as you have enough room for living space and enough food produced to feed everyone, you are fine. Just because India can't support and feed itself doesn't me the US has the same problem.
