then why is everyone getting on my case when all i've said is i think its not smart to engage terrorists with civilian arms, and i would put myself in a defensive position, and not go out of my way to engage them?
Because some people believe that its smarter to engage terrorists instead instead of bending over and get shafted in the ass 150+ times. NEVER make an enemies environment convenient.

If you feel that it's right to lay low then loving do it. But if you are cornered, are about to die and have a chance at life, does that handgun not in the least seem tempting to you? EVEN if the chance is slim?

obviously im going to defend myself if they engage me, but im not going to deliberately put myself in that situation
they would have to come to me

Let me put this in perspective for you about "civilian arms."

My dad owns one of these "civilian arms" the .500 S&W magnum. If you get hit with this gun let's just say you won't live. The bullets are even bigger than most automatic assault rifles.

look dude engage them if you want its my opinion that its a bad idea

why do people put scopes on handguns lol

my heart is loving shattered

I'm assuming names will be released about fatalities later. Hope this guy isn't one of them.

I don't see how this proves they're outraged by extremist actions. If Islamic youth are feeling marginalized I fail to see how the blame falls to anyone except Islam itself. I moved to this country very recently with no friends and no clue and I already feel like I belong. Probably because I'm not feeling 'pushed' to massacre people.
You don't seem to be understanding what I'm saying. The extremist groups are creating the anti-muslim sentiment in the west on purpose. As you said, they are recruiting from the muslim population. Specifically, they recruit marginalised youth. Having a large portion of the population feel that muslims as a group can not be trusted, alienates them. As soon as people do not feel they belong in their community, they will turn to other groups. By encouraging people to not trust or accept muslims in general, they are actively working to radicalise youth. I'm not sure I understand how you can blame islam for the west marginalising innocent people based on the actions of extremist groups which they share nothing with.

You came to this country in a very different manner than say an asylum seeker or even just a muslim. You can't compare your situation with theirs.

Well nobody said anything about deliberately getting into a hussle. At least I'M pretty sure i haven't. I talk about firearms as a last resort. And for a lot of people in this massacre, time is valuable. Terrorists like this are guaranteed to bring the fight to you. And it really sucks that so many people had to die here.

why do people put sights on handguns lol
because a magnum is a powerful enough weapon to use effectively at range

Dear France,

France, you were with us since the very beginning: from 1776 to 2001, you've been by our side. Thank you, and our condolences for the events of today.

Pretty sure a magnum is the ammunition not the gun. But i know what you mean.

yeah what is a "civilian" weapon. I'm pretty sure that doesn't exist and its just called a gun.
