Got it for Christmas :D

You can practically destroy everything, and the beginning is really neat.
I love this new grapple.

You can practically destroy everything
Lol no. You can only destroy very specific objects that are copy-pasted all over the world. Everything else is static, even the pathways around those fuel tanks.

It's interesting how in the 6 years since red faction: guerrilla physics engines in games have made a large step backwards.

That doesn't make this game any less epic, though.

Also got it for christmas!
Enjoying it so far, but flying planes is ridiculous. Can you not steer left and right with the rudder? Or is my only option to bank and pull up?

The flying challenges are ridiculous when you can't line up properly since you can't properly change elevation and turn at the same time.

You can use the rudders, but I don't know what the controls are.

Speaking of planes, "Rico and the Rose" is the most rage-inducing thing I've ever had to do. Never before have I had enough rage to want to drop kick a baby so hard that I shatter the magnetic field protecting the Earth's crust and burning both me and the baby to a crisp. Now I know how that feels, and it is a terrible feeling.

I JUST DISCOVERED HOMING MISSILES

BEST
THING

i just wish this ran for more than 5 minutes without slowly killing itself

You can destroy bridges and a few other items, like cranes on oil rigs. The game itself is massive so imagine making everything destructable would be very difficult for them to do. That'd be a crap ton of physics objects, especially in towns or cities. I honestly like how they handles destruction.

Biggest nuisance is connection to the server regularly dropping then every time I open the menu it tries to reconnect for a minute or two, and there is no way to cancel it or stop it from even starting to reconnect.

It's a singleplayer game. The leaderboards aren't that important.

Disconnecting your console from the internet or starting Steam in offline mode is the only way to prevent this. Playing the game offline also vastly decreases loading times.

I may conside that, especially if it decreases loading time. I kind of refrain from most challenges because I know I won't perfect it first time and the loading time can be unbearable.

how do you unlock the next mission

i just liberated that first province, got a call from Sheldon, but i don't see the mission waypoint

Should be a bulls head on your map, either grey or yellow.

If it is grey then you need to liberate more provinces in that region.

wow lol i got like ten missions done, now i have to liberate 3 provinces to do the next
i loving hate liberating provinces

How does the game run on a 770?
