Author Topic: Just Cause 3 MEGATHREAD - iv never seen anything more beautiful than the intro  (Read 3813 times)

wow lol i got like ten missions done, now i have to liberate 3 provinces to do the next
i loving hate liberating provinces
I enjoy the liberating.
What I dislike is then travelling back across the province to collect all the secrets.

However, gliding is so cool. Although trees are arseholes.

It's a shame they weren't invited to help work on JC3 and give it an official multiplayer mode.

I'm going for 100% guys, on 2nd region right now, EMP down and corda dragon down (done the base before the FOW lol) so i just gotta finish up and get collectibles

I've got all the collectibles and places liberated, and story complete.

Just need to find the last of the vehicles, and annoyingly, do all the challenges.
Not looking forward to the "get 5 gears in all challenges" achievement.

It wouldn't be half so bad if it wasn't a nuisance to wait for loading screens each time you restart.

Solid 7/10, but feels drier than Just Cause 2. Intro made me bust a nut.

If there is a just cause 4, I hope there are actual big cities, more stuff to wreck, and a longer, more interesting campaign.

There is surely enough to do on the side with challenges, but it feels like it could be repetitive.

Having to find new sources of drop beacons and flares is annoying.

Also square Enix's loving potato servers being down at least a few hours every day infuriates me to no end.

Yeah, beacons and flares are dumb.
The game prides itself on being sandboxy. So why limit how often I can call in weapons and vehicles?
If anything it just seems like a forced incentive to do challenges to unlock the gear mods that lower cooldowns and increase your number of beacons.

If only paypal werent loving jews with their stuffty refund policy that takes 7 loving days i would buy it.

So, the only vehicle left to get is the fancy speedboat from the lakes. This required me to get the top tether upgrade.

After that I need to get 5 gears in every challenge.
I don't think this will happen because the stupid wingsuit challenges at high difficulties require to perfect every single checkpoint, and they swarmed in obstacles.
It's just infuriating when coupled with the stupid loading times.

I flipped my stuff trying to finish all the grapple challenges, especially the one at the Bavarium refinery. I literally had a full five gears, but was missing like a tiny bit, and those loving police kept hitting me and flinging the bavarium everywhere. Took me an hour but yay finally did it.

I thought the grapple ones were the easiest.
Just grapple the magnet close, drive slowly, and grab lots and lots before deposting. It should be possible to get 10-20k ore in a single go, which will easily leave you at 3.5-5 gears.
Police don't turn up until you reach 3 gears, and you should get like 30 extra seconds, leaving you with 1-2 mins left.

Just do another slow loop, focussing on big piles and warehouses, and you should be done, probably with time to spare.

It would have been easier but the large piles were spread apart, so by the time I finished collecting the large pile (which gives me around 3 1/2 or 4 gears) I don't have time to get anything else. After dumping and getting around 2 minutes, the police show up. I get a huge pile, then all of a sudden one of those starfishs ram it, sending it flying everywhere. Either that or they ram into explosives and do the same.

They also managed to blow me up once which caused me to throw the controller.

"Rico, Mario is your man"
"Can you fly a helicoper?"
"..."
"Mario is not your man"
I had to pause the game for an entire minute because I was litteraly lolling.

Oh, game is great.
