and why are they suggesting stuff from UFC? i don't watch MMA or UFC at all.

I really hate the Youtube Recommendation system too. It throws either some of the most cringey content out there or stuff that you don't care about in the slightest at you.

it also takes searches from your youtube history to find content which the system thinks you would like

This always used to happen to me. It didn't matter what kind of videos I watched, I would always get total garbage in my youtube feed. One time I got a channel-blocking addon, but there were just too many awful youtube channels to block. They just kept showing up. The solution? Using adblock to remove everything but my subscriptions. I feel a lot better now that I'm not having the worst videos of mankind shoved in my face.
