Having previous experience is a legitimate reason to come in at a higher wage.
He worked in costco's electronics for less than a year. He even told me our electronics had much more than his electronics.
Me working in walmart's electronics for 2 years already is higher than whatever experience he had at costco.
Also new employees who didn't have previous experience were also making 10.10 like me.
I was originally making 9.70 back when minimum was 9.30. Then Walmart is like "we are going to raise wages!" So they raised me from 9.70 to 10.10 (EVERYONE including new employees). So any yearly raise I made were for nothing since I am making the same as a new person.
That's not all! Since they raised the wage to 10.10 before the minimum wage hits then I'll be screwed anyways. The minimum wage will hit this January and it will be 10.10, right? Now my yearly .40 cent raise was actually today on the 16th so I would be making 10.50. Now when minimum wage hits I'll stay at 10.50. If I were still making 9.70 and minimum wage hit to 10.10 I would be making well over 10.50 to compensate but since I am now classified as working for more than minimum I don't get the bonus.
