-Who heard you bottomprint w/ identity support
     -sound alert that radio messages are being sent, if item is inventory but not equipped

These sound promising, I would really like it for the radio play a brzzt kind of sound like a radio would do if it's not equipped. When it is equipped it will still make sounds. To get the players attention in case they're not focusing on Blockland or something.

Also, will the who heard you bottomprint will be able to toggle?

both are planned. the first actually was already done with the original radio mod edit i had; arekan provided the sounds and they worked beautifully. sounds would play on message sent, on message received, and on taking out/putting away the radio. I'm planning to just repeat the messagereceived sound for those who have the radio in their inventory but don't have it out.

the issue is that due to how local chat and the radio works, the radio is formatted specifically to work with the localchat mod i was given - you can't just take it and use it for another local chat mod. i can't just give you the ones i have since the LChat mod i have is a private edit of the public LChat mod. Ask ZSNO about it if you really need it that urgently.


just a bump to say that yes im working on it. im adding support for slayer teams/local teamchat, assuming global teamchat is turned off.

Sounds neat.

So I assume the radios would work for the specific team, depending if global team chat is off or something?

yeah working on this got delayed cause of finals, but i will be able to finish it up during break (which is coming in a week for me)

here's my idea of how radios will work:
  • chat messages starting with # will get sent over the radio, if the radio is in someone's inventory/out.
  • #messages sent with normal chat will go over all radio channels; #messages sent with teamchat will only be sent to players in the same minigame/team as the player sending it - otherwise it doesn't send, replying "Team chat disabled - You are not in a minigame".
    • Radio channels will still work the same with slayer teams - there won't be team-specific radio channels. RTB Pref to disable team-only radio messages, allowing anyone in the same minigame and channel to overhear what is being said.

if global teamchat is enabled, only players on the same minigame or team will hear it globally, if slayer teams are enabled.

All of these ideas sound exciting!

ok so back from break and looked at my code

its a total mess and i don't think i knew what i was doing first time around/was too out of practice so im going to scrap most of it and restart. this time i'll structure it first before coding.

expect at least a beta version in a week, or less if i don't get distracted. it will just be the basic localchat + identity mod, with teamchat support for slayer. after that i'll do the radio (which shouldn't be hard).

Unless greek changed the system for how teams are saved, it should support all.
