dont forget to not put too many bricks for highways, people wont be able to build. Remember: after 380/480k its impossible to build :S...
What? what do you mean? my server for reverie fortwars generated almost over 520k bricks for just the map and people could build just fine, lol.

on topic: Great work as always, this is fantastic.

While we were expanding the Seattle build we ran into frequent crashing, which could considerably hinder gameplay if this becomes an issue on your server.

no.
your server is mostly using the same cube bricks, i could plant 1 milion 1x1 cube and it wont crash. it depend of 2 things, the variety of bricks you use, and the ram the server use. It will start doing stuff after 1,7 gb randomly.

What they said.

On a serious note. City RPGs nowadays tend to have a very low quality. They are often just a clutterforget of duped 32x32 roadpieces with no layout at all. This.. map, is something different. It is huuuge, and very detailed from what I can see. And if this really is a legit CityRPG which will contain lot spaces, official buildings and whatnot, the brickcount will surely explode and people will not be able to play. Gosh I hate that the only time someone actually puts his heart to it to make a cool cityrpg map, it will probably be overdone.

it had a lot of misc things planted/generated around the map too, like plants, resources, decoration stuff, etc all using various brickpacks that arn't pre-made types , plus it generated more as you dug down.

But i suppose the server we used for it having 16gb of ram was a helping factor(?).

i went to the server and i can assure you there werent enough different bricks. Also my server has 64gb. Anyway, it doesnt matter, i know what i say and know what will happen in any cases, for the ones who makes detailed cities.

wasn't the factory enclosed before? i remember being there in a freebuild once and you built a pretty nice building over the tracks and stuff
