it's that you always get the same thing in a lootcrate. its similar to how a 2.50 microtransaction in csgo or tf2 or whatever isn't technically gambling because you get something every time.

they always tell you the theme of the crate a few weeks before they release it so you have a rough idea of what it might be. it's not completely random

It also doesn't matter if you get these crates during this month anyways. Apparently you can buy old crates and you'll actually buy what you already know is inside.  So that whole "limited edtion must buy now" is just full of crap.
