Game of The Year awards mean nothing.

I had this argument with someone on youtube about how this one specific game is garbage. He goes on to say "if it's so garbage then why did it win GOTY" to which I replied there is a million loving "game" of the year awards. It's not a special award anymore.

Dunkey further proves my point.

and you just realised this?

all i know is i get mad savings on goty editions lol

GOTY awards are awarded by "trusted" game journalism groups, and they are always a joke. Either groups of sell outs giving skewed opinions based on money, or just a bunch of butthurt casual players that bought into an over elaborate ad campaign getting let down by the actual game that isn't the second coming as the ad claims. See Fallout 4 reviews.

That and it usually includes most if not all of the dlc the game has. It's great.

Or like how titanfall got over 70 or 100 (I don't remember the exact amount) awards yet we all know how it actually turned out.

Videogamedunkey is still a cool youtuber though, thats good to know :)
EDIT: Dunkey rage intensifies
