Yeah can you not add joke "religions"
If you add jokes options, your entire dataset becomes worthless because everyone chooses the joke option

Pastafarianism is actually a real religion, not a joke. There's an official church for it.

Person A claims there's currently a teapot in orbit around earth. They firmly believe it, and it's possible they're correct.
Person B requests evidence of person A's claims, and person A provides no evidence/flawed evidence.
Person A says that the flaws/lack of evidence are insufficient to prove the existence of the teapot. End result is he does not believe in the teapot, however he does not necessarily believe the teapot is not there.
Another key difference is that a lot of atheists have the attitude of "if you have evidence, present it, and I'll listen to it" because they don't claim to know god doesn't exist.
However, a lot of religious people have the attitude of "nothing your can say will ever sway me from me faith!" and that's because they've taken the attitude of "I know my god exists"

No it's loving not. It was a satirical joke created as an argument, arguing against teaching creationism in schools by comparing it to an even more ridiculous idea

A few idiots deciding to take it seriously doesn't change the fact that it's origin as a joke is provable

He said not to argue about religion. Pastafarianism isn't a religion.

a kid i graduated with claimed to be a 'pastafarian' and occasionally walked around with some sacred text for that 'religion.' he no joke loved to wear black trench coats and fedoras and spent a lot of his free time provoking christians who he caught wearing a cross necklace or talking about their night at youth group or whatever

it was really sad

He said not to argue about religion. Pastafarianism isn't a religion.
I...
Mhhh...

50% of things taken seriously start as a joke. It's likely that religions other than this one were started as a joke.

Baptized as a Roman Catholic...

Still thinking like an agnostic.

a parody movie is still a movie, just as a parody religion is still a religion.

50% of things taken seriously start as a joke.
And 83% of statistics are made up.

It's likely that religions other than this one were started as a joke.
Sure, it's possible. But unless it's provable, I'm not going to make any claims about them.

a parody movie is still a movie, just as a parody religion is still a religion.
Right, that's a totally valid brown townogy

To be fair, I understand the idea that if someone has beliefs, then those are their beliefs. And if those beliefs are religious, it doesn't matter where the claims originated, that's just what he believes.
The problem is, I don't think anyone actually, legitimately believes that. I think it's more likely people do it to continue the satire. And the fact that the official church site is ran by the guy who originally proposed it for his  satirical argument points me more towards the latter

shouldnt mormon be under 'christian sects' or better just 'christian'
and nation of islam under 'islamic sects' or just 'islam'
