He's real but the reason parents want to eventually tell us he's not someday is because before all of us were put into this world our spirits all signed a contract with the devil that if we have kids we are required to tell them this lie when they're a teen. They know he's real, but they're required to say he isn't, otherwise they get flung into space and are never heard from again. We all forget about the whole thing until we become parents though.
