Author Topic: Why don't storm troopers shoot bullets?  (Read 9729 times)

I guess from the logic used in this thread, kyle kern is the strongest and most powerful jedi in the entire universe. He uses both sides of the force, and a full arsenal of other weapons when his lightsaber isn't an effective choice for the task at hand.

And to the people talking about how slow the blasters fire, you have no idea how blasters would work in real life. Because they're fictional. You have no idea how a jedi would react to a bullet. Because there's no way to know. You just think you're right because in your mind your logic is infallible.

I don't think anyone came in here unaware that they were going to be arguing from their own bias. It's the only thing you can do with a fictional subject. If that bothers you then that's just too bad.

Wait did he really just say "you have no idea how a fictional weapon would work in real life because it's fictional?

wow dude thank god you cleared that one up for me I was starting to lose hope

they keep arguing that the laser beam is too slow. But it's not really a laser beam, it's condensed energy.

It's a beam of light it would be a continuous stream unless it were plasma.

that's also why it doesn't matter how they would work in real life. in the movies they're slow, and that's the only source of information for it, so yes, they move slowly

where in the lore is it described as light? If we're going to look at it realistically then if it were light then yes it should be a continuous stream. But it seems to me that it's condensed pure energy that's been focused into a short and slowish beam. They're not referred to as laser guns anywhere. They're always called blasters

why are you in this thread? all you're doing is whining. I think we understand that you don't like nerds, despite posting regularly on a forum for a lego game

He can be in the thread if he wants. It's my thread.

which of course is still too slow

Idk where I said I didn't like nerds???
I just said this thread is nerds fighting nerds about nerd stuff

Well from a movie point of view, they shouldn't be fast. if blasters shot as fast as regular rifles they'd be over powered. They move fairly quickly as is, I honestly see no issues with how fast blaster shots move.

Sure there's nothing wrong with how fast the shots move from blasters. Whether or not its good is fairly irrelevant!

It's easy to deduce that they're convenient for a Jedi to reflect simply because of how slow they move on screen. I think it's silly to consider blaster rifles being over powered if they shot as fast as a regular weapon. Do i need to remind you that the Empire built 2 death stars, a ship that blows up planets?

Light sabers shoot up faster than a laser blaster.
