Essentially, the famous 'CISA' spying bill that has been struck down multiple times over the past 5 years or so is about to become law. Is there anything to be done about it? At this point, not really. CISA has been attached to the upcoming major budget bill as a rider; meaning that it is almost guaranteed to pass because to not pass it would mean to not pass the budget bill, which would lead yet another government shutdown. Unfortunately the underlying issue is that sticking bills together like this had become far too common of a practice and is obviously poisonous to legislature since it means that unwanted laws can be weaseled into law by simply attaching them to something more important and unlikely to be opposed.

Discuss how broken American politics are.

The government is becoming farther and farther from the founding fathers' ideas. We need to fire every government employee and replace them with everyday people who don't make politics into a career.
