Oh god the memories. I remember when I was only 5-years old. I remember when me and my dad (he didn’t have an account, he would sit next to me and help me if I was having trouble killing a Cog, usually Big Cheese, Law Shark, etc.) and we would have lots of fun playing.I might check it out.

Also, is this or Infinite more popular? I got the impression that rewritten was, but after seeing the infinite trailer- that seems like it could potentially be a lot more.

Rewritten is more popular (and more recent?), as far as I know when Rewritten was opened most people jumped ship from Infinite due to shady staff and their long-term plan with the game.

Rewritten seems to stay true to the original game itself while Infinite seeks to change the game to the point where its game-play is very different from the original.
