How good can you bhop/rocket jump in games?

I do pretty well in Bhopping in Garrys mod. Not really in Portal and Portal 2, my TF2 and Quake rocket jumping is something I'm working on.

I managed to complete the Quake Live strafejump trial somehow, but I can't get past the final rocket jumping portion.

Rocket jumping is a bit harder in the first Quake because of how much more powerful the launcher is.

From beginner jump maps I learned to rocket jump decently. I still don't understand the more advanced techniques such as C-Tapping and hopping to this day. All I know is basic jumping, wall jumping and air strafing.

i use the right mouse button for bhopping
and i don't rocket jump
i rifle jump
yes i play cube 2 sauerbraten

i can single-rocket jump alright; if a jump implies more than one shot then i probably can't do it

I struggle a bit with syncs but I'm really good at rocket jumping, pogoing, etc.
Bunnyhops are pretty good too. I inflate my ego every time someone accuses me of using scripts.
