Speaking of Christmas, it really irks me how we live in a society where we have to wish everyone "Happy Holidays" rather than just a "Merry Christmas", in America mostly. 90% of the population is Christian, so it isn't imbecilic to assume that most people you'll run into will celebrate Christmas. However, if I see a last name like Steinberg or Cohen, I'll just wish the person a Happy Hanukkah by default. Why cant people just say Merry Christmas anymore? As a Jew, I don't get offended when people wish me a Merry Christmas rather than Happy Hanukkah because Christmas is really more of an American type of thing (its religious too of course, but its part of American culture).
