Author Topic: Jairo's Vassals and Vandals RP - A MOST HOLY ENDEAVOR! DOWN WITH THE KHANATE!  (Read 24631 times)

well jee if we've got money and a boat ticket

Head to Himmelen (or whatever port is on the coast) and check out what they have to offer. Pick up a battle axe for Sval and some weaponry for the footmen (equivalent price swords, axes, and bows, footman's choice)/

As you make the trek to your fief, you are ambushed by several forest bandits...
Forest Bandit: Halt! These woods are occupied by my people. You must pay to have the privilege of passing through them--or die!

As this is the Kings land, I suggest you move along or you will be paying us within a short amount of time. We're the forward party for a soldier column not too far behind us, who would gladly get some of their energy out in any other way than marching.

Physical traits: Flat-faced, thick-necked, flurry hair, thin mustache, whisker beard
Traits: Bastard, Encouraging, Khan

Bio: Farmer that thrived on a lucky life of a merchant family's heritage. Eventually walked up to the political and country life and enjoyed what those of the merchant families and wealthy gave off- money for friendships and favors. you don't need traits to start

just play the game and Jairo will provide you with traits according to how you play

Head to Himmelen (or whatever port is on the coast) and check out what they have to offer. Pick up a battle axe for Sval and some weaponry for the footmen (equivalent price swords, axes, and bows, footman's choice)/
Your men gather their preferred weapons and are ready to set out.

As this is the Kings land, I suggest you move along or you will be paying us within a short amount of time. We're the forward party for a soldier column not too far behind us, who would gladly get some of their energy out in any other way than marching.
Forest Bandit: ...Through the kindness of my own heart, I've decided to let you pass for free this once. Don't let me catch you here again.

Adalwolf has acquired the Fearless trait.

Start in the village of Karak, begin recruiting.
News of the recent Tebessan victory on your home soil startles your village. 16 men are eager to help defend the homefront and rally to your side, some with horses, some without.

me and the new recreuited men travel to the town of Eire where we resupply and hire some more troops
You play the emotions of the men drinking in the local tavern, convincing 8 of them to join you.

Maxwell has acquired the Orator trait.

in the shops, I try to barter for a discount and tell the shopkeeper that I'm training an army
The shopkeep laughs you out of his store, claiming that "everyone is training an army nowadays."

if people want to toss a couple of traits in for themselves to begin, I'll consider em

otherwise yeah I'll give them out as things happen

Tu Li:

Move to the village of Dulk and make a rousing speech about the war on the Homefront to recruit men. And restock at Dulk.
If we are not able to get there by sundown, restock at Untaan.
If there's extra time, train men.

By Sundown, rest for the night.

-

by the way, can you give me a summary of units with each recruitment

I head back to perth and set up a very basic military training field to train my men to use swords better

Move to the village of Dulk and make a rousing speech about the war on the Homefront to recruit men. And restock at Dulk.
If we are not able to get there by sundown, restock at Untaan.
If there's extra time, train men.
The trek from Karak to Dulk is far, so your party plans to rest in Untaan to cover housing for the time being (not to mention the threat of being intercepted by a Tebessan scouting party).

by the way, can you give me a summary of units with each recruitment
sure thing

I head back to perth and set up a very basic military training field to train my men to use swords better
Your villagers are thus more resilient against poorly-armed bandit raids and your men have become trained.

The outcome of the Masovian-Avignese talk has come to light: they have formed an alliance. The enemies of one are now the enemies of the other.

A messenger catches up to Sval, hands him a letter, and departs.

By daylight, arm men and do the last action:

Tu Li:

Move to the village of Dulk and make a rousing speech about the war on the Homefront to recruit men. And restock at Dulk.
If there's extra time, train men.

By Sundown, rest for the night.

I am now playing.

On a side note are we allowed to form merchant guilds or are we restricted to mercanaries?

As Adalwolf turns up to the village he heads up to the local town center and looks for any jobs available or help needed.

I'll add you in when I wake up tomorrow

On a side note are we allowed to form merchant guilds or are we restricted to mercanaries?
if you're a mercenary you can still peddle goods from town to town, but you can't exclusively be a merchant (otherwise you'd die very quickly due to bandits)
