this has to be the least legible post i've ever read

If I like something that has a fandom around it, I usually try to distance myself from the fandom as much as I can.

Fandoms I hate because their source matierial is actually terrible thus making their fandom terrible

FNAF
Anime (some)
AoT
Homestuck
Supernatural
Tumblr (Not a joke)
Lol, you have not seen a fandom if you think that's the problem.
There is literally FNAF research. The game isn't too terribly bad (punz), but the people like Markiplier and Pewdiepie who fake their fear just to get more viewers kinda ruin the reputation of it. Also there's this thing I like to call an "anti-fandom" where people basically completely hate the game for little to no rational reason. Their usual response is "the game sucks" or "only babies play a game like that." I see you as a part of them, using the "the game sucks so therefore everything about it sucks too" card.
also homestuck isnt bad :(

edit: If you put in a spoiler for things in a public place, do [colo r=transparent](insert spoiler here)[/color]

all of your posts make me want to gouge my eyes out

The only good fandom is the freedom bringer fandom.
Because no one is in it.

the clownfish fandom is my personal favorite because it's so popular somebody literally begged me for my account

I already voted it, classify it as a new poll

I had written it up somewhere, but I find people who dislike fandoms on the premise of its ideas, tend to be really socially awkward. Is it really a bad thing that people who share similar interests in a specific thing get together and enjoy it? It's like some kind of romantic idealism that everyone should like their own things on their own an never talk about it to anyone. Just shut yourself off from everyone and jack off to your animays.

I'm pretty sure I've stated somewhere that I have no problem with people enjoying things, I have problems with people considering themselves part of a fandom.

This forms circlejerks, obsessions, and mob mentalities; far different from what sharing similar interests is with your friends.

What's a fandom different than just a large group of friends? The only reason people hate fandoms is because of associated bad acts. People love to leech off the cringy and absurd stuff fandoms can throw out. It's easier to dismiss all of it and be a Scrooge than to accept that things aren't black and white.

I categorize fandoms as a different thing that you do apparently.

A decently large group of people sharing and discussing congenial interests isn't wrong. What I stated before is what is wrong and what I categorize as a fandom; when it becomes out of hand.

I hate the word fandom, it sounds so disgusting, but there's no other word for it

anyways some fandoms are incredibly toxic and I can't seem to find a good part of it no matter how hard I try, and others are just very loud with their toxic half
